J.Jay Reich Racing

J.Jay Takes The Win And The Championship at OSP 2-7-09!!!!

It was a surprisingly warm day at OSP. In the first practice the cart was fast but loose. A little too loose for my taste. The second practice it looked better. The track seemed to be getting better. When J.Jay registered for the race he pulled #357, for anyone that doesn't know, that's not good. It meant that we would have to start in the back of the pack. Soon it was time for the heat race. We lined up fifth out of six carts. Took the green flag and the race was on. On the first lap J.Jay went from fifth to second due to a wreck in turn one. The race was red flagged and the racers were all lined back up according to the original line-up because the wreck was in the first lap. The green flag flies again and the race is on.  J.Jay stayed out of trouble during the first few laps while everyone else in front of him raced hard and got tangled up with each other sliding high on the sand, giving him the lead! Then J.Jay had to hold off a hard charging Dalton Harris back to the finish line, winning the heat race by about two feet at the finish line for the heat race win! That left J.Jay on the pole for the feature race. The start of the feature race started like the heating  race, it was red flaged after two karts slid high and spun out. They lined up single file and had a good clean start. From there J.Jay lead every lap winning the feature event and claiming his first rookie1, purple plate, championship!!!! WAY TO GO J.JAY!!!!!!!! All that was left was to make it through tech. The plates were checked on the top three finishing karts and everything was fine with all three plates. So then it was offical J.Jay was the CHAMP!!!!!!!  At this time we would like to thank Hudson Racing, Jimmy Hall Racing Engines, and Vudo Tireworks for all of their help and support. It is their support and the outstanding driving by J.Jay that has made this possible. Thanks again. Reich Racing

some fun while your here

Whats This About?

We have decided to start J.Jay a web site so family, friends, and also fans can see what we have been up to and were we are headed next! We also thought it would help mom & dad keep better records of his progress in kart racing. J.Jay has only been racing about 3 1/2 years & it is already hard to remeber some of his "first" to do's. So as the site builds & grows please feel free to coment in the blog area & if you get a shot of him somewhere please e-mail, it will be saved and valued as a treasure! Thanks for coming by & come back soon!!!!!!!!
